Netflix’s Squid Game No. 1 for...

A rare occurrence happened in the streaming space as there was no movement within the top 4 titles in Nielsen’s Top 10 Overall Streaming chart for the week of June 30.

The week, which included the July 4th holiday weekend, saw Squid Game remain in first place for the second week in a row with 2.869 billion viewing minutes. It continued to draw heavy interest from the Hispanic demographic, as they accounted for 33% of total watch time.

According to Nielsen Streaming Content Ratings, TV viewers spent 8% more time streaming content over the July 4, 2025 holiday week compared to 2024.

The week of June 30 saw five titles with over a billion viewing minutes, with Netflix accounting for five titles in the chart. None of the titles in the chart had shared distribution rights.

Peacock’s dating series Love Island USA continued its dominant stay in the chart with 1.696 billion minutes viewed. The 18-34 demo viewership continued to be heavily invested in the reality show, making up 52% of the total audience.

The Netflix-acquired titles, Animal Kingdom and Blindspot, finished in third and fourth place with 1.478 and 1.424 billion minutes viewed, respectively.

At No. 5 was the highest-ranked new title in the chart, Prime Video’s Head of State film starring Idris Elba and John Cena, with 1.098 billion viewing minutes.

The bottom half of the chart consisted of Netflix’s The Old Guard 2 with 964 million viewing minutes. At No. 7 was The Bear, Hulu’s only entrant in the chart, dishing out 892 million minutes viewed. It was followed by Disney+’s Bluey, which had 849 million viewing minutes. 

The final two spots in the chart belonged to Netflix’s The Waterfront, generating 759 million viewing minutes, and at No. 10 was Paramount+’s SpongeBob SquarePants with 743 million minutes viewed.
