The soft opening for Winnie’s Playroom in Brookfield is starting on August 2, 2025 and we’re excited to give you a sneak peek! We are in love with this spacious indoor play space with great natural light and such a wonderful assortment for children ages 6 months through 6 years old. Owner Szewai Lee and her husband poured their hearts into this vision and we are so impressed with what they’ve created for families!
Important note: Winnie’s Playroom’s soft opening will be the entire month of August 2025. During their soft opening, reservations are required for open play. Click here to reserve your spots. Starting in September, open play will be drop in!
Features of Winnie’s Playroom
Winnie’s Playroom is so spacious, with carefully curated toys, playing structures, imaginative play, building materials and more.
There are plenty of different spaces for kids to explore, from climbing on the dome to sliding down the slide. Building with magnetic blocks, to painting with water. Kids can pretend they are at a grocery store, selling ice cream from their cart, or making food in the kitchen.
Babies and toddlers will love this space with wooden toys and opportunities for tummy time.
All of the details were well thought out and the design is on point. We love the colors, seating options, and decor! The space will double as a dance studio in the evening so Szewai can continue teaching ballroom dancing. An outdoor play area is also in the works, so stay tuned!
The Café at Winnie’s Playroom
You can enjoy all kind of coffee beverages, smoothies, sodas, sparkling water, juice boxes, and milk at the café tables, along with sweet treats, including ice cream, shaved ice, and Mimi’s Rainbow Magic, which is rainbow ice, vanilla ice cream, and condensed milk.
Szewai’s daughter fell in love with the combination of shaved ice, ice cream, and condensed milk on a family vacation in Hawaii and can’t wait to share it with you. The ice cream is so delicious too! They discovered Homer’s ice cream at a shop in Bucktown and I can personally attest that it tastes like it’s homemade. Yum!
Boutique
Winnie’s Playroom has a boutique area when you walk in to purchase gifts, games, toys, and apparel. They also have great local merch, like Brookfield canvas tote bags (and I heard they might be making bags for other towns).
Bathrooms
There are nice men’s and women’s restrooms towards the back of the space.
Accessibility and Special Needs Accommodations
Winnie’s Playroom is all on one level without any ramps or stairs. There is soft, kid-friendly music playing in the background, so it isn’t an especially loud space. However, we weren’t there on a crowded day so I can’t speak to that. They don’t serve food that contains tree nuts and outside food is not allowed.
Pricing for Winnie’s Playroom
Admission is $15 per child. Children under 6 months old are free, as our children 7 years old and up. Up to 2 adults are also free with a paid child.
Monthly memberships are available.
Hours and Location
Winnie’s Playroom is open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:30am – 6pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-noon. Please note that they are closed on Tuesdays.
